Bee-Keeping

We have a good pastor friend not far from our cabin who maintains a little hobby as a bee-keeper, and he invited Eric to the hives for a little lesson in it all. He had a great time getting all dressed up (although it was pretty warm). Vern got him right in there and had him taking the hives apart, looking for the queen bee, and searching for honey. It was really cool and the best part... no one got stung!!

Suiting up!

The hives

Looking for honey (it's not looking like a good year).

Do you see the fear in his eyes??!

What fun! Wondering when Meg will take her turn with Vern... I'm sure he would make her some memories she'd never forget!
Eric you look rather scientific- I bet Vern and his wife loved their time with you. Hope he got to see your wedding photos and hear all of what he missed: (

Wedding photos? That would require us to actually HAVE our wedding photos.

That's right... one year after the fact and our photographer is still MIA!!!

Man, I am so bummed we couldn't come with you guys! John has always wanted to be a bee keeper, he is going to be so envious when he sees Eric with the bees.

I see Eric with a new hobby. In Gary and Jane's woods a friend of theirs has a few bee hives. I guess Eric could put some there too...
