The Results are IN!

Well... we were set on boy names... had the boy clothes... picked out the boy nursery bedding...

None of it will do us much good now unless we're willing to subject our child to some serious gender identity issues!

I have a feeling that the tighter Eric tries to hold onto that wallet... the more girls we'll see in our future! :)

We're both very excited... although I'm pretty sure I did see a look of momentary dizziness fall over Eric as visions of hormones, credit card bills, and expensive weddings flooded his mind. She also appears to be taking after the feistiness of her mother already. We could barely get her to stay still and cooperate during the ultrasound! (Another groan from Eric) Don't worry.... he's already over it and now I'm dreading the fact that no doubt this will be "daddy's girl". Chances were he'd be a far better disciplinarian with a boy. (*sigh).

Congratulations to those of you who guessed correctly! Thanks for playing!!

Congrats!!! Good luck Eric- now you'll have two women in the house to deal with :) At least you have Max to help keep the testosterone level a little higher!

Yeah... after the initial excitement of finding out, reality is now settling in. I can deal with the money and shopping stuff, its when she starts bringing guys home in 25 to 30 years that I worry about. :-)

I would like everyone reading this to be my witness for the comment Eric just made... he can "deal with the money and shopping stuff"...

WOOHOO!!

I see guilt free shopping days ahead!!!!

Is that an open invitation for my to come visit again Eric???!! Did someone say shopping?

Congratulations you guys...I am so happy for you both! I cannot wait to see who she looks like! Come on, no girl names yet...not even one???

ps.
Eric, do you really think she is going to wait until she is 25 or 30??? :) By the way, my boys will ALL be within marrying age when your daughter is ready!!! :)

okay...I meant to say ME to come visit, not MY! It has been a long day!!

I was thinking the same thing Jessica... Eric's dating rules are obviously going to prevent some challenges for us all! Wait 'til she pulls something like he and I did... and comes home engaged after knowing a guy for less than 30 days!!

ok... you 2 are way too literal... and notice I said "deal with" not "endorse" shopping. The 25 to 30 thing was also a joke, and maybe some wishful thinking. Jess I'm sure your boys will make great husbands some day and you are welcome to visit, but leave the shopping bug out west. We don't want an infestation to hit the mid-west, we already have the west nile virus to deal with.

okay...okay, enough joking with the "dad-to-be". I can see the vein in his forehead starting to pop through! I will say no more about shopping! I promise! (I'm sure you don't mean NO shopping for the baby though right??) She's only an innocent bystander! :)

YAY! I am so happy for you guys. What a beautiful Christmas present! I am mad, I was too late to vote. I was thinking "girl" though. I am being a slacker at commenting. So sorry!
