A good friend of mine introduced me to a blog of a family who is in need of prayer, and I have to share this one... Last December Carla and her husband set out on the long road of bringing a little girl home from Guatemala to become part of their family. They have been waiting for almost an entire year to bring 5 year old Josi home to be with them... in that time they have poured their entire souls into this child, and they were praying hard that she might be able to come home by Christmas.
Tragically, a couple nights ago Carla received a phone call informing her that Josi had been killed. Apparently the foster home where she had been living was invaded, and the entire family (foster mother's sister, husband, 2 children, and Josi) were all murdered. Please lift them up in prayer tonight...

Oh my gosh! That is so awful! I will definitely be praying for them.
Thanks Meghan! Such a terrible tragedy. I am praying.
Oh.. my Lord how tragic.
Prayers, definately.
I will pray for everyone who loved little Josie and her foster family that were murdered. The ugliness of other countries seldom effects us but it should and we should be moved to care for children such as Josie all year long.
My friends have been trying to adopt, these realities are too painful. To hope, trust and wait so long just crushes a person. Forgiving those that took her from them will be so hard, may God work as only HE can in our messed up world.
We can't imagine what your friends must be going through!
We will certainly pray for them!
