The Lawrensons

These are pictures of Gwyneth. The second is her hand and her daddy's finger. She was born on January 8th, at 24 weeks and 5 days... just 4 days more mature then the little girl I am carrying inside me now.

This is a picture of Nate and his 25 year old wife, Tricia. Gwyneth is their new baby daughter.

Tricia was born with Cystic Fibrosis... and up until the discovery that she was pregnant, she was on a transplant list, praying for a match that would grant her a double lung transplant and save her life. After finding out about their pregnancy, Nate and Tricia opted to not have an abortion. A decision that the medical community discouraged and a decision which forced the removal of Tricia from the transplant list.

As Gwyneth grew... Tricia's lungs were inevitably compromised further by her growing uterus, and on Jan. 8th, her health had deteriorated so much, that she was placed on a ventilator and taken to surgery for a tracheotomy. It was the only way she would be able to continue to breathe. Subsequently, she was so unstable that doctors were forced to deliver baby Gwen prematurely.

Both Gwen and Tricia are doing ok for the moment. Nate is a worship leader at their church, and he has begged anyone who will take the time to pray for his wife and daughter... as well as spread the word that even more prayer is appreciated. He has a fantastic blog that can be found at: http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/

Please take the time to read some or all of their story... leave them a comment of encouragement... or just let them know that you are praying. I promise you will be incredibly blessed by the faith that this family has.
